Fishing Pro Brandon Lester

X Zone Lures is proud to be working with X Zone Lures Pro Bass Elite, Brandon Lester

X Zone Lures Pro Bass Elite, Brandon Lester is a young angler on the rise that is passionate about fishing and is competing in his fourth season in the Bassmaster Pro Elite Series this year.

Growing up Brandon Lester was introduced to fishing and the outdoors by his father and grandfather.  His love for the outdoors grew stronger with every trip they took, but there was something about fishing that became his passion.  At the age of 16 Brandon fished his very first bass tournament on his home lake of Tims Ford in Southern Middle Tennessee.  After several years of fishing at the local club level Brandon went on to fish for the University of Tennessee Chattanooga Mocs Bass Fishing Team, where he was among the founding members of the club. While competing at the college level Brandon decided he wanted to pursue a career as a professional bass fisherman, all the while dreaming of one day qualifying for the Bassmaster Elite Series.

In 2012, Brandon signed up to fish as a pro in the Bassmaster Southern Opens. He finished the year 24th in points respectively, but Brandon knew he could do better and he knew what he had to do to get there. In 2013, Brandon started out the year with a 3rd place finish at the first Southern Open of the year on Lake Toho, Florida. He backed that up with a 15th place finish at Lake Douglas in his home state of Tennessee, then a 16th place finish at Logan Martin, Alabama to become the 2013 Southern Opens points champion.

Lester’s campaign on the Bassmaster Elite Series in 2019 saw him finishing 6th in the Angler of the Year standings and once again qualifies for the Bassmaster Classic in 2020.

Brandon has racked up 59 in-the-money finishes in B.A.S.S events and over $603,000 in career earnings.

Lester jumped in with both feet when given the opportunity to design lures that will work both on the pro tour and for anglers of all levels in North America.  “Our first in-person meeting was last winter at the foundry where the plastic moulds would eventually be made so you could say we started at ground zero.  X Zone’s commitment to quality production is critical to putting a fish-catching product out into the market.  I’m excited about the lures we’ve designed and those that are coming down the line as well,” said Lester.

Brandon is once again competing in the Bassmaster Elite Series in 2020.  Brandon says  "The one thing that I really like about our sport, is that you never stop learning. My preferred fishing style is definitely shallow water power fishing. Growing up on many of the Tennessee River lakes, taught me how to find fish quickly, up shallow and I feel comfortable any time I get to fish that way."

Brandon has been working closely with X Zone Lures and he has been using, exclusively, X Zone Pro Series Lures on his tournament trail.  Using the product out in various conditions, Brandon has provided his feedback.  Take a look at a video that he created with X Zone Lures.
